This course aims to highlight the environmental and financial concerns about emissions emanating from gas flaring in the oil and gas industry. Participants will get a complete picture of the dynamics of gas flaring. They will discover the technical and other constraints responsible for flaring natural gas into the environment and identify the repercussions of hazardous pollutants’ effects on human health and the ozone layer. The course will demonstrate how routine flaring can be avoided and give insight into the options available to utilize this precious resource.
The course uses interactive techniques such as presentations by the consultant and participants. It also features group work, industry case studies, and group discussions.
